AI/Tech Lead
Are you interested in building Kinnevik’s AI-based operating system? We are looking for a rare kind of technologist: someone exceptionally fluent in AI, who can keep our day-to-day tech stack and cyber security running flawlessly and keep finding inventive new ways to put AI to work across the firm. And then teach everyone else to do the same. We care far more about what you can build and how fast you learn than about the number of years on your CV. This is a role built for someone who punches well above their weight class.
About Kinnevik
Kinnevik is a leading growth investor, active owner and operational partner, providing patient capital to challenger technology-enabled businesses in Europe and the US. Our passionate founders are building tomorrow’s leaders within healthcare and software, making everyday life easier and better for people around the world. We invest at all stages of a company’s growth journey, always determined to create long-term value. We have a diverse organization with around 25 employees across London and Stockholm, united by a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
Working at Kinnevik means having impact, influencing decisions, and valuing collaboration. We've decided to treat data and AI not as back-office plumbing but as the heart of how we create value, and you'll own that foundation and bring the whole firm up with you.
In this role, you will
Build the practical tools that make Kinnevik run better: from quickly standing up an internal site to an AI dashboard the investment team uses
Push our current use of AI further by building reusable skills and workflows that the whole team can pick up, and running hands-on workshops that turn AI-curious colleagues into confident users
Put AI and data to work inside the investment lifecycle, helping the investment and finance teams speed up processes and workflows, cutting manual work
Own Kinnevik's data foundation: keep it clean, well-governed and accessible, and build on our own data where it creates a real edge
Hold the fort: own our internal IT, the digital workplace and cyber security end-to-end, coordinating specialist partners for the heavy lifting
Keep the software stack simple, modern and cost-disciplined across licensing and vendors
Be the person the whole firm brings their “can we do this with AI?” questions to
And much more. Because you’re the first-ever with this role, there is an opportunity to shape it around your own strengths and obsessions.
You are
AI-native by instinct, deeply fluent in the leading AI tools, and always looking for creative and practical new ways to put it to work
Pragmatic and service-minded: you measure success by whether colleagues' work got easier, not by how clever the build was
A natural prioritizer with sound business judgement. You know how a firm runs, what's worth doing now, and what can wait
Proactive and organized: you challenge the status quo constructively, create and run projects, getting them over the line
Enthusiastic and contagious: you make people want to try the tools, and can explain technical things to anyone
Discerning, not hype-driven: as excited as anyone about AI, but able to tell a genuinely useful workflow from a flashy demo
Careful where it counts: you experiment boldly, but you are never reckless with credentials, access or sensitive data
Low ego, high ownership, and a genuine team player
Your background
A strong technical foundation: a computer science, data science or engineering degree, or demonstrated equivalent capability
Around 1-5 years of experience in a professional environment, ideally in investments, finance or similar fields
Technically capable: you can build with AI and genuinely own internal IT and cyber security topics, but we're hiring as much for your judgement and pragmatism as for raw technical depth
A track record of getting useful things built and adopted (side projects count)
Fluent in written and spoken English; Swedish is a bonus, not a requirement
Type of position
Full-time, permanent. Based at our Stockholm headquarters, with significant in-person presence and the chance to travel to our London office. We are looking to fill this role as soon as possible, with a target start date of 15 August 2026.
